Why is a Retreat different from an online course?
Going away to go inside – that’s what it means for me to go on a Retreat – that’s why it’s so powerful. {Retreat} literally means: an act of moving back or withdrawing. Stepping out of your daily routine, taking time for yourself, re-connecting and getting to know yourself better (like going on a date with yourself), growing, learning, listening, spending time in nature, connecting with others, sharing, dancing, singing, moving, breathing, trying something new, being creative, being present in the moment away from digital devices, supporting each other with compassion, celebrating each & every journey… this is the picture in my mind and this is the kind of space I want to create and hold during all sessions, workshops, retreats and festivals I am part of.
Meeting in person, face to face, heart to heart, that’s a different kind of magic. The online coaching and courses I attended were an important part of my journey, but the biggest shifts always happened at in-person teacher trainings or retreats.
